Wrangler makes a great pair of somewhat loose fitting rugged, durable jeans for any guy who wants a slightly more relaxed look to their work (or play) jeans. Moreover, these jeans are a good choice for people like me who are slightly overweight. They really do give you extra room in the thigh and the seat; and that's great!The denim is nice and thick; and these jeans are extremely durable. The excellent stitching helps make this possible. In fact, these jeans can last for years at a time without any fraying--even at the bottoms of the legs. They are made from cotton and they are permanent press. However, I would wash these jeans with similar colors to avoid any color dye bleeding onto white garments in the wash or dryer cycle. They say that you should tumble dry these on low; but I use the permanent press settings on my dryer and that seems to work fine without any problems. They come in five colors, too. Great Jeans , Good Value
I used to buy Levi's 550 relaxed fit jeans because they were an American company, but now they are no longer made in America. These Wrangler Rugged Wear jeans are similar fitting and looking as the Levi's 550 jeans and about half the price, and seem to be a better fabric than Levi's.

These Pants are sized correctly - ignore all contrary claims
One reviewer is doing a VERY GREAT disservice to purchasers of this brand of Jeans. I followed his claim that the waist size is 2 inches off and his recommendation that everyone select a size 2 inches larger. I followed his advice, and I now have a pair of jeans that not only do not fit properally, but are in fact 2 1/2 to 3 inches too big!!! Ignore the "buy oversize" claim and buy what your tape measure suggests. Just think, if I loose 10 pounds, my pants will then be 2 entire sizes TOO BIG !

Excellent Jeans
If you are used to Levi's, here's some help in choosing a Wrangler jean that will fit you properly. This jean is the classic "Cowboy Cut" that Wrangler has been making since 1947. Among the Levi's jeans, the fit of this jeans is most similar to that of the Levi's 505, which in turn is similar to the Levi's 501, meaning that it is a fairly standard fit, not too tight nor too baggy. It doesn't have as much orange stitching as a Levi's, the back pockets sit higher, and the rise is a bit longer, giving it a slight dress pants look. Unlike the Levi's 501, it has a zipper fly (like the 505) rather than a button fly. The so-called "rigid denim" looks a lot like the "shrink to fit" rigid denim of the 501 when new and will lose a lot of indigo dye on the first wash, but that's where the resemblance ends. The 501 shrinks about 10%, but the Wrangler Cowboy Cut shrinks less than 3%, because it is Sanforized. So, you should buy your correct size, erring on the side of slightly larger if you...

Good fit
I purchased the "Cowboy Cut" Wrangler jeans for my husband's birthday. He is particular about the cut of his pants, preferring the regular fit vs. relaxed, so I was a little concerned about what "Cowboy Cut" meant. Great jeans, highly recommended
Pants are comfortable, and durable. They are really sharp in black, and can be worn to work without being too obvious that they are jeans. The Wrangler brand is very under-rated. They are just as nice, and hold up better than Levis. I highly recommend them, especially if you are tall like I am, and sick of having to pay $60+ for a pair of jeans.

Great jeans and great price
I bought these for my husband who has only worn Levis 501 for the last 40+ years. He was sceptical but agreed to try a pair since his size is difficult to find in Levis sometimes. He was very pleased. They fit nice, feel soft but still have substantial heft and wear and the color is just right. He reports that they are more comfortable than his Levis and gave a thumbs up to buying more.

I'll admit, I'm 28 years old and very skinny so I can wear these. Compared to the baggy hip hop jeans and the relaxed fit jeans that middle-aged pale skinned office workers wear these are the anti-Christ. But dang does my posterior look good! These are so far superior to Levis it makes me laugh. Sorry for all you button fly lovers. But Levis can't compare. Period-Paragraph.These are not the `seconds' or cheap versions you get at the bargain stores. These are not the cheap thin rough feeling sandpaper versions of Wranglers you can get at local Wal-Mart or Target.These are the real deal. These are a heavy, thick but perfectly stone-washed to a ultra soft finish and perfect faded shade. The thickness is what makes these the best.I probably have twenty-five or so pairs of GOOD jeans. These are the best of the best.These are thick, durable, but incredibly soft to the touch and if I said the best fit of all the brands I would be understating this fact by miles. Favorite Jeans
What can you say bad about Wranglers? They are the quintensential American Jean brand. This particular cut fits like a glove and moves nicely with my every step. They tend to hold their wash longer than the competition most likely because they are made of heavier, cotton denim. For anyone with normal sized thighs, these fit well; not as tight as some but still generous enough not to pinch.Definately worth trying a pair.
