Best Bang for the Buck
I own & use lottsa 'scopes from reeeel cheap to reeeel expensive - Zeiss W german, Leupold vari-X 7, and even Intensity Optics from ATC (under 100 bucks). The 6500 elite series is by far the brightest, sharpest, best all 'round rifle scope I have ever used, at any price. I have 3 so far, and absolutely no complaints.The 1.25-8 is on a .375 H&H and has the most eye relief of any premium scope I could find, have fired over 100 rounds with no change in zero or other issues. I hunt in Wyoming - temp variations can push 50 degrees in one day, and never a drop of moisture. Have shot from a weighted rest on a bench, which is brutal punishment for a scope, and they take it in stride - several others have failed. Have a 2.5-16X42 on a .338 win mag and the same experience.Prices for comparable scopes are 3-to-4 multiples, and you won't get as good overall product.
